Welcome to anyone who’s new this year! A few of the more consistent and long-term Blaugustans probably know me already, but I’m more of the on again/off again sort these days and I’ve been really quiet on the Discord channel for some time. I’ve would have opted to pull a fast one and try to snag the first post in the month of August while most people are still asleep, but I’ve been defeated by timezones. Of course, I know it’s not the “first” post of Blaugust ’22, which I would generally credit to Belghast, but it amuses me and is one of the few perks of working third shift.
I could honestly say a lot about Blaugust in general, but the main thing is to enjoy yourself and have fun. This event is meant to be a celebration of blogging as well as support and help for anyone who’s interested, so try to focus on the pleasurable parts of the process.
If anyone isn’t familiar with the event, because perhaps I’ve posted this a bit more liberally than normal, feel free to check out the announcement post by using this link and please consider giving it a shot. It’s certainly not for everyone, but it’s something I continue coming back to every year and really helps me understand myself and refine my ability to communicate with the written word.
